Foraging in County Clare with Oonagh’s Wild Kitchen

Oonagh O’Dwyer has been running her Wild Kitchen from Lahinch on the shores of the Atlantic, about 20 minutes drive from our recommended accommodation at the  Pipers Rest in Doolin. For some time now, she has been bringing small groups on foraging trips (both on land and on the seashore), teaching her guests how to identify the plants, harvest them sustainably, their historical and nutritional values. There are three courses available:

Wild food taster walk – seaweeds

Learn all about edible seaweeds, including how to identify them, when they are in season, how to harvest them sustainably and how to incorporate them into everyday meals to reap the health benefits.

Oonagh’s wild food courses

Forage for wild food with Oonagh either down country lanes or on the beach and learn about wild foods, how to harvest and prepare them.
